Long-Term Care Insurance
We can accept long-term care insurance. The generation of people who purchased this insurance are just starting to hit the Assisted Living scene, at least in our area. It's new enough that we don't have a "usually" or a "typically" yet. We will look into the specifics of your policy, and contact the insurance company for preapproval.
If your policy is not enough to cover your care, here's is the order other resources are tapped:
1. Your long-term care insurance policy should pay first, if your care qualifies.
2. Your personal assets pay next.
3. Medical assistance would help, only after your insurance company is billed and your personal assets and income are spent.
